With a couple inspirations pointing out the potential for using UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) to gather information from hard-to-access areas to prevent atrocities, just wanted to explore the possibilities of this a little more.

Well done Kirk! I'm inspired.

Organizations like http://netimpact.org might be a great way to develop and spread this Internpreneur Starter Kit & Certification.

Hey Vincent!
We were so inspired by your participation in the Local Food Challenge that we want to be sure you're in the know about our Renewable Energy Challenge – which is now in the Ideas Phase: http://ideo.pn/rr-ideas We'd love if you might swing by and collaborate + share some of the energy you contributed to the Local Food Challenge so that we can help communities around the world become rapidly renewable. Hope to see you there before Jan 25!

Dear Vincent

It was a pleasure of reading your post.

I am Cheng Zhang, a master student from London School of Economics (LSE).

As I am writing a dissertation on OpenIDEO, can I send you a questionnaire for you to answer in about 10 days time?

I can see that you are an active participant, and I am really interested in finding out more about people like you.

If you do not have time it is totally understandable too! If you are interested, could you please send me an email to michael_528@hotmail.com ? Or you can tell me your email here;).

Best regards and many thanks

Cheng Zhang

Congrats on your winning concept on our Business Impact Challenge!

Congrats on joining the openIDEO team!

Vincent was selected for our monthly Featured Ideator series. Check it out: http://bit.ly/insights_13

Your works really inspire me to moving forward and get more creativity. Thank you and keep a great work.

Hello Vincent,

I work for Seymourpowell, one of the world's leading design and innovation companies.
Maybe you are interested in commenting on our question: How will sustainability change our approaches to design and innovation over the next few years?

Thank you very much!
Alex

Hello!

I am a graduating senior at the University of Michigan Art and Design school working on a thesis project in and around Detroit. I happened across your vibrant cities challenge after the winners were announced and noticed it is exactly what my thesis project is! I understand that the challenge is over, but I was wondering if you could connect me with anyone who is also interested in carrying the concept on after the challenge. I didn't notice a lot of talk in the comments about any continuation, but I would love to hear if you've received any emails from people wanting to make it a reality. I'm panning on moving to Detroit next year and continuing the work I've been doing on my thesis into an actual studio/workshop/skillshare, and it would be great to get connected to people moving and shaking in Detroit!

Thanks!

Hi Dylan,

you're awesome! Great minds think alike, but to get to the point of real world impact requires the talent and dedication to actually make an idea happen like you're doing ;)

Here are my suggestions for connecting with others on this:

(1) REACH OUT TO POTENTIAL COLLABORATORS THROUGH THE CONCEPT: Feel free to post a new comment on my actual "Reclaimed in Detroit" concept ( http://www.openideo.com/open/vibrant-cities/winners-announced/reclaimed-in-detroit/ ) to reach out to those who are reading it. Also, you can contact people who commented on the concept. You could post to their profile, or perhaps preferably see if they have any contact information so you can reach out to them (for example, my profile lists my personal Facebook profile)

(2) CONTACT CHALLENGE SPONSOR (STEELCASE) AND ORGANIZER (OPENIDEO) DIRECTLY:There was some representation from Steelcase participating in this challenge. In fact, if you use the Search Bar at the top right (select search by "Users" in the dropdown, and type in "Steelcase"), you'll get 17 results. Also, OpenIDEO challenges spotlight "Realization" projects (you can see this on some of the other challenges), so you could email their community management account (hello@OpenIDEO.com) to talk about how you're already working on realizing "Reclaimed in Detroit" and seeking collaborators, and hopefully they can shine a spotlight through a dedicated post on your work.

I've also update my "Reclaimed in Detroit" concept to highlight your work on the "What steps could you take to implement this idea today" section, with a link to your thesis blog & OpenIDEO profile. And to get it a little more attention, I also posted this content as a new comment.

-Hope this helps and Best of Luck!
Vincent

Just highlighted your project on Twitter ( http://twitter.com/#!/AbantuApparel/status/164393147919642624 ) & Facebook ( http://www.facebook.com/AbantuApparel/posts/224093701009486 ) too ;)

Great job with Reclaimed in Detroit - keep the good ideas coming!

Thanks Simon! You keep the great ideas coming as well ;). Enjoying your synergistic concepts & diverse inspirations across the last few challenges.

Vincent continued with his spirited collaboration and ideation on our Vibrant Cities challenge – especially on his winning Reclaimed in Detroit concept. Way to go Vincent – you are a prolifically inspiring community member!

Congrats on your continued success here on IDEO, Vincent. I found your concept very inspiring. Wouldn't it be nice if Detroit of all places adopted a green city model? I would definitely go and check THAT out.
:D

Thanks Aina =). Appreciate you adding more to the conversation on how to revitalize Detroit as a sustainable city.

Vincent was a winner on the Amnesty Challenge with his comprehensive Amnesty Observer App concept. Yet again Vincent has wowed us with his innovative and collaborative approach. Long may he continue to brighten OpenIDEO with his stellar participation!

Congrats Vincent on your winning concept in the Amnesty challenge! Very well deserved!

Thanks Sarah! Is a topic I'm passionate about and have personal/family experience with. And gratitude for your post on social media in the Arab Spring that definitely helped inspire me, and your great builds on this and other concepts.

Also, given your flow of inspirations on the vibrancy restoration challenge, I'm excited to see the concepts that emerge!

Vincent thanks for your comment. Today is my first day with Open IDEO. It's a real pleasure to meet you here!

Vincent, thanks for your kind words on my profile.
I just wanted to say that your inspirations and comments on this challenge have been very inspiring and kept me thinking. Thanks! al

Love the quote above "A person becomes human through others,"

Keep up the good work, find your comments very inspiring!

Thanks James, it's a really core belief for me =) Have been quite inspired by some of your posts as well, most recently the one on Impact Business.

Vincent has been an OpenIDEATOR rockstar across a number of challenges. His Pregnancy Nutrition Package *and* Mom 2 Mom Mentor Matching concepts both featured amongst the winners on the Maternal Health + Mobile Technology Challenge. Great stuff, yet again!

And of course, how could we forget his simple and streamlined solution for our Bone Marrow Donation Challenge? We all hate waiting in line at the DMV, but Vincent's idea makes even renewing our driver licenses much more fun and worthwhile.

Vincent, congrats on winning AGAIN!!!!:-) This is super fantastic!

Thanks Krassimira. Looking forward to our continued collaboration =)

Congrats for winning the Maternity challenge! Great work, I loved your concept.

Thanks LilNinja, appreciate your build off the concept (encouraged me to think how community could be taken to the next level), and hope to see you on future OpenIDEO challenges.

Hi Vincent! Congratulations on winning the Bone Marrow challenge! Well deserved.

Thanks Sarah! Looking forward to your concepts moving towards realization too, as I expect will happen quite soon, judging from where some of the current challenges are heading =)

I don't think I'm there yet, but oh well :)

Btw, congrats again for your winning concept in the Maternal Health challenge! You rock :)

Vincent has been an inspiring and highly active OpenIDEATOR. Alongside his great commentary and posts he was a winner on the i20 Innovation Challenge and a double winner on the Sanitation Challenge. We love his encouraging attitude. Cheers Vincent!

Thanks for the testimonial Meena...err OpenIDEO =P

Hi Vincent, Thanks for your compliments on my profile! Your contributions on both OpenIDEO and OpenPlanetIdeas have set a great example and are a great inspiration for me. I look forward to more collaboration on OPI and future challenges.

Since you posted this Arjan, you have truly become the king of collaboration =). Keep it up!

Vincent, Congratulations on the i20 Innovation Challenge selection! You are an OpenIDEO superpower! Keep the great ideas coming!

Thanks Demian. You are a quite the OpenIDEO superpower yourself! Looking forward to your future ideating.

Hi Vincent, thanks for the compliments, I like your ideas and concepts too. You are just the person that helps make ideas flow better, and to make me become more creative. Do you want help with starting that business, let me know, how can i help? i am up for it! :)
I am at facebook! :)

Thanks Johan =) I must say that you provide a very unique perspective on OpenIDEO, one that pushes me to think in new ways.

Vincent, thanks for the ecouragement and feedback! I enjoy your inspiration!

And I'm enjoying your whirlwind of great ideas!

Vincent - thanks so much for your kind words. And for being such a great supporter of OpenIDEO! Let's work together and make this thing even greater :)

All the words were very well deserved Haiyan =). Psyched to continue to collaborate with such a creative, talented, & diverse community, and excited about the huge potential for positive impact.

Congratulations on the winning concept!!

Thanks Megan! I really appreciate your feedback and builds. Also, I must say that I love your "bucket list" idea! Personally, that is very inspirational for me and how I try to live my life.

Vincent, thanks for you feedback, which has been very inspiring and encouraging!

Vincent, thanks for your compliments. I'm really enjoying OpenIDEO! You've really had some great inspirations so far on the maternal health challenge. Looking forward to working with you in the concept phase. Keep it up!

Thanks for for encouragement! OpenIDEO has been a very good experience for me. The spirit of collaboration that I have met some people like you are very motivating. Count on my support on their projects and also forgive me if my comments are too harsh or rough. The language is a big hurdle for me, and my online translator does not understand subtleties! I tend to be frank in my opinions too, but I sincerely hope to help build something really good and that really works. Count me in!

Hi Vincent, thank you for your kind comment. It is inspiring reading all your contributions.

Thanks for yor comment, I actually emailed this idea to a member of the dragons den in england, not the program but his venture capitalist firm, I recall it was Peter jones approximate 10 months ago. ago and was emailed back saying they could not accept unsolicited ideas,, I was gutted hence this, all I'm concerned about is that it gets done but I HD this idea years ago.

Vincent, thank you for your support but, please could you reread py proposal, and you will see it does have big environmental benefits. Thank you

Thank you Vincent for your encouraging feedback on my very first post. I'm still browsing around Open IDEO, and learning more. By the way, I really like your motto: "A person becomes human through others"... =D
