Laura Atkins has been a children's book author, editor and teacher for over 25 years. With an MA in Children's Literature and an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults, she has been in love with children's books since reading late into the night with a flashlight under the covers. Laura, who is passionate about diversity and equity in children's books, is a proud Berkeley girl who still lives with her daughter and dog in this wonderful city by the Bay.
